Common Instructions for Seminar & Assignment
- Each student has been allotted two seminar/assignment topics: the first topic is shown on the front side of the seminar card, and the second topic is shown on the back side.
- Students should tap/click the seminar card to view the second topic and tap/click again to return to the first topic.
- The topics have been selected from Guyton and Hall Textbook of Medical Physiology, aligned with NMC Physiology competencies, and designed to support preparation for the AMRU University Examination.
- Presentation Time The seminar presentation duration should be approximately 8 to 12 minutes per student.
- Students must clearly mention the topic number and title at the beginning of the seminar/assignment.
- The presentation should be limited to the points mentioned on the seminar card and explained in the student’s own words. Hindi may be used along with English wherever it improves understanding.
- Diagrams or figures taken from textbooks or online sources must be clearly labelled, and the source must be mentioned below each figure.
- A bibliography/references section must be included with 2–3 credible sources, such as Guyton and Hall, Ganong’s Review of Medical Physiology, or other standard textbooks.
- The seminar/assignment may be prepared as a PowerPoint presentation, neatly handwritten work, or typed material on A4 sheets, as applicable.
- The final soft copy must be submitted in screen-recorded video format, clearly showing the seminar/assignment content along with the student’s explanation.
- Students who require a laptop for preparing or recording the video may be provided one by the department for a limited period, subject to availability and prior permission.
- If submitted in hard copy, the material should be properly tagged/stapled, with clean margins and clear headings.
- Direct copying from books or websites is discouraged. Marks will be awarded for original understanding, clarity of explanation, presentation quality, and academic sincerity.
- Each student must review the seminar with the allotted faculty mentor/assessor between 15 June and 22 June 2026, after taking a suitable time slot from the mentor.
- For any major issue, the student may meet the HOD, Department of Physiology, with prior information.
- The final submission deadline for all seminar/assignment materials is 25 June 2026.
- This seminar/assignment will contribute to the Internal Assessment as per AMRU guidelines.
- The top 25 students or more, based on merit, may be acknowledged in the digital archive titled “Pioneers of Physiology – MBBS Batch 2025.”
- Selected students’ work may be showcased during academic events and on the Department of Physiology webpage linked to the official SLBSGMCH website.
- Digital archives of selected seminars will be retained in the departmental digital library on the dedicated Department of Physiology webpage.
